Description
Tamoxifen 10 is an anti-estrogen medication Tamoxifen Citrate (Nolvadex) is the active ingredient in this medication, which belongs to a category of medications called “selective estrogen receptor modulators” (SERMs). The drug is prescribed to women for the treatment of breast cancer and is also used by men as a post-cycle therapy-medication after a cycle of steroids.
Effects of Tamoxifen
When taking Tamoxifen correctly, the effects received are:
- Restoration of the Hypothalamus-Pituitary-Testicular (HPT)
- Restoration of the natural testosterone production
- Avoiding estrogenic side effects such as gynecomastia
- Maintaining muscle mass that was gained in a steroid cycle
Nolvadex use
DO NOT use tamoxifen for post-cycle-therapy (PCT) if progestogenic steroids such as Trenbolone, Oxymetholone or Nandrolone were taken during the cycle. Side effects associated with progestogens may occur. In this case, another anti-estrogenic drug such as clomiphene citrate should be used.
The drug should be taken at a dosage of 20 mg per day. Tamoxifen is usually started the day after completion of a steroid cycle, although if a long, slow-acting ester-based steroid is used, you should wait for two weeks after your last injection to start tamoxifen.
Side effects of Nolvadex
Tamoxifen generally does not cause side effects when used in the correct dosage and for the correct duration. In rare cases, loss of appetite, headache and visual disturbances may occur.
